Pre- & Post-Treatment Tips

  • Have an event coming up in the next 2 weeks? You may want to consider rescheduling your appointment until after the big day.

  • To reduce unwanted swelling , you can apply ice topically for 24 hours post treatment- Apply for 15-minutes and then remove for 15 minutes, then repeat!

  • No alcohol, nicotine or smoking for 48 hours before and after treatment.

  • Avoid vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours after treatment.

  • Sleep on your back and with your head elevated for the next 24 hours after treatment.

  • Avoid aspirin and NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Aleve) for 72 hours prior to your before your treatment to help reduce bruising.

FAQs

How do I know if I'm a candidate?

We recommend coming in for a consultation so one of our experts can evaluate if you have fat verses skin laxity. Kybella only treats fat (which is usually firm to the touch). We have a treatment for skin laxity as well, so if that's your concern, check out Morpheus8!
Can I go back to work afterwards?

Yes, but your turtle neck or scarf is the best way to conceal and handle the post-treatment downtime. Clients will likely experience bruising and swelling in the submental area for up to 1 week.
What do results look like?

You'll start to see results after at least 1-4 sessions. Body weight fluctuations can affect the elasticity of the skin, so we encourge you to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen throughout this process. The maximum amount of treatments a client should get is 6 treatments in 6 months.
I'm pregnant. Can I get this?

No, you cannot get this treatment while pregnant or nursing.
Does it hurt? Is there bruising?

We'll do our best to make it comfortable by icing the area before beginning treatment. Swelling, bruising, discomfort, numbness, and redness are among the most common post-treatment side effects.
How long do the results last?

The results are achieved once you've reached your desired look. As long as you maintain your body weight you should not have to come in for touch ups or additional treatments.
