While both treatments address signs of aging, Juvéderm filler adds volume and “fills” wrinkles using hyaluronic acid, while Botox temporarily relaxes muscles to reduce the appearance of lines.
First, a numbing cream will be applied to minimize any discomfort. Then the tiny injections will put the Juvéderm right where you want it! It's usually pretty quick, about 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and amount of filler needed. It’s completely normal to feel some slight pinches or pressure. Afterwards, you can get right back with your day! You might have a bit of redness or swelling for a few days, but that's just your skin settling down.
Juvederm is FDA-approved and considered safe when administered by trained professional.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you will want to hold off on Juvéderm. We will talk about any medical history or medications during your consultation to make sure Juvéderm is a great fit for you.In general, anyone that is generally healthy and is looking for a little volume, wrinkle-smoothing, and feature-boosting would be a great candidate!
Nope, not much at all! Most Juvéderm products contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, making the pain very minimal. You may feel a few tiny pinches, but nothing major! Afterwards, you may experience some temporary side effects. Some experience swelling, redness, bruising, and minor discomfort. But these are generally reported to be minor and should subside within a few days!
Most are thrilled with their results, but if necessary, we can inject the hyaluronidase enzyme to dissolve Juvéderm. From there, we can adjust your Juvéderm treatment plan to better meet your beauty goals!
Results generally last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the specific type of Juvéderm. Touch-up sessions can help maintain your stunning results!
One of the things that makes dermal fillers so great is there's little downtime. There's no reason you can't go back to work afterwards, although keep in mind that you may experience some redness, swelling or bruising.
