FAQs

What is PRP?

Not only is PRP used for Hair Restoration in West Loop, Wicker Park and Streeterville, but it has also been proven effective in various areas of medicine.

Platelet-rich plasma accelerates the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. PRP is used for facial rejuvenation, buttocks enhancement, lip augmentation and more.

PRP is even used to treat hair loss. In fact, one study showed that PRP performed much better for curing hair loss than Rogaine.

How Does PRP work?

PRP harnesses the growth factors in your body's own platelets. Your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge until the growth factors are separated. These platelets are then re-injected into the targeted area to achieve the desired effect. Once these platelets are injected back into your body, they release growth factors that in-turn stimulate your body’s healing response.

Is Treatment Safe?

Our non-surgical, no-downtime treatments are all-natural ways to rejuvenate and stimulate new growth using your body's own nourishing plasma. It's a safe, effective service that provides real results with little downtime.

Are there any side effects?

The beauty of PRP is that it's a low-risk, allergen-free, and completely natural treatment because it is autologous (which means it is developed in your own body)! This completely erases any risk of major of side effects. You may notice some redness, bruising, and swelling after your treatment - but this is typically minor and will resolve within a few days.
